I have wanted to build my own computer since visiting the First West Coast Computer Faire in San Francisco in 1977. I was already into electronics. So I set out to build an 8080 computer like those I saw, and I got as far as being able to toggle some data into memory when I realized it would take too long so I went back to school and got my CS degree from Chico State! Long story short.
HP2100A like the one at CSU Chico where I learned assembly and systems programming on.
It was there at University that I learned HP's Systems Programming Language which very similar to Pascal, and programmed a HP3000 which was a stack machine. Maybe that's why I like stack machines so much!.
